The Berne Apparel Story
The Berne Overall & Shirt Company was founded in 1915, in the small town of Berne, Indiana. The business began by manufacturing shirts, overalls, dungarees, smocks, shop coats and aprons for local farmers in the community. In 2009, Berne expanded to its current HQ in Ossian, Indiana. This high-tech facility is nearly 200,000 square feet and can house 155,000 boxes. The company employs over 100 workers who can pack and ship 18,000 units in an 8-hour shift.
